USAID helping young women develop their legal careers

On November 5, 2013 USAID organized a women's networking forum made up of female lawyers, judges, prosecutors and law students from the Law Faculties of Prishtinë/Priština University and Peja/Peć University. During the forum female lawyers, judges and prosecutors shared their experiences with female law students. Advice was given on ways to overcome obstacles in becoming a female lawyer. The law students expressed their appreciation to USAID in providing a platform for young women to learn more about becoming a lawyer. Building upon this success similar meetings will be scheduled in all regions in Kosovo. This forum was jointly organized by the Kosovo Chamber of Advocates (Gender and Minority Committee) and USAID Kosovo Legal Profession Program implemented by the National Center for State Courts.
