First intercollegiate Mock Trial Competition in Kosovo

On May 27, 2014, KLP organized a Mock Trial Competition between 10 students from the University of Prishtina Faculty of Law and 11 students from Iliria College Faculty of Law.  The competition focused on civil law and the topic was a divorce case.  Leading up to the final competition practice rounds were held on May 14, 20, and 23, 2014. Finals were held on May 27, 2014. On May 28, 2014 the USAID Mission Director Maureen A. Shauket gave certificates to all participants recognizing their hard work. The competition was supported by the leadership of UPLF and Iliria College Office of Clinical Studies and Civil Law Clinics. This event marked USAID 15th Anniversary celebration in Kosovo. This was the first intercollegiate mock trial competition organized with masters-level legal clinics supported by USAID and KLP. As a result of this competition the President of Iliria College announced that he will provide scholarships worth up to 200 EUR for each Iliria College mock trial team member.
