Workshop on drafting of the KBA Gender Committee work plan and pro bono strategy
On December 12, 2014, NCSC and the DLA pro bono team organized and moderated a workshop on drafting the KBA Gender Committee work plan for 2015. The workshop was moderated by DLA Piper pro bono experts Mary Gately and Sara Andrews. Present were 20 female lawyers and 6 female interns. During the workshop, participants in plenary sessions and breakout groups reviewed the KBA Gender Committee Strategic Plan and work plan for 2015 and discussed strategies for supporting pro bono work. Based on the tasks foreseen in the Strategic Plan and input of the participants from group discussions the work plan for 2015 was drafted. The work plan includes project descriptions, persons responsible and timelines. It was agreed that KBA female lawyers will provide 10 hours of pro bono per year. In January the KBA Committee will meet in January 2015 and will set the procedures for the delivering of pro bono work by KBA female lawyers.
